Refund Policy

1. Who We Are & Merchant of Record
This Refund Policy applies to purchases made through the UnityVows platform, operated by Able Strategies, LLC (d/b/a UnityVows), a Michigan limited liability company.
Subscription and related SaaS charges are collected by Paddle.com Market Limited (and its affiliates) as Merchant of Record (MoR). Paddle is the seller of record for those transactions, issues receipts and tax documentation where applicable, and processes refunds to your original payment method when approved. UnityVows provides the software service; payment and refund settlement are handled through Paddle's systems.
2. 30-Day Money-Back Guarantee
If you are not satisfied with your UnityVows subscription, you may request a full refund of the subscription fees paid to Paddle within 30 calendar days of your initial purchase date for that subscription. This guarantee applies to first-time purchases of a paid subscription plan (monthly or annual), subject to the exceptions in Section 7.
Currency, fees, and exchange rates: Checkout prices are shown in the currency you select where available. If your card account or bank settles in a different currency, your financial institution may apply foreign exchange rates and fees that UnityVows and Paddle do not control. Similarly, any non-refundable bank or card fees charged by third parties are outside our control; only the eligible subscription amount collected by Paddle is covered by this guarantee.
3. After 30 Days
After the 30-day guarantee period:
- Monthly subscriptions: Fees are non-refundable for the current billing period. You may cancel at any time from your account; cancellation is scheduled for the end of the current billing period, and you retain full paid access until then.
- Annual subscriptions: Fees are non-refundable for the remainder of the annual term. You may cancel to prevent renewal; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current annual period, with access until that date.
This matches how cancellation is applied in the product: we request non-renewal with Paddle so your plan does not bill again, without cutting off access early within the period you already paid for (unless applicable law requires otherwise).
4. Pay-Per-Wedding Credits
Purchased pay-per-wedding credits are non-refundable once used. Unused credits may be refunded within 30 days of purchase at our discretion, processed through Paddle where Paddle was the payment route.
5. Plan Downgrades
If you downgrade your subscription plan, the change takes effect at the start of the next billing cycle. No prorated refund is issued for the remaining time on the higher-tier plan unless we agree otherwise in writing.
6. How to Request a Refund or Cancellation
To request a refund under this policy or to cancel renewal:
- Email support@unityvows.com from your account email, with your organisation or account identifier and whether you are requesting a refund (within 30 days of first purchase) or cancellation at period end.
- You may also cancel auto-renewal from your UnityVows billing or subscription settings where available; that schedules cancellation for the end of the paid period as described in Section 3.
Refund processing: Approved refunds are initiated as refunds through Paddle and typically appear on your original payment method. Timing depends on Paddle and your bank (often several business days). You may see the credit labelled as a refund or reversal from Paddle or your card issuer.
We aim to confirm eligibility and submit refund requests within 5–10 business days of a complete request. Billing questions required by Paddle may add time.

7. Chargebacks
We encourage you to contact us before initiating a chargeback with your bank or payment provider. Filing a chargeback without first contacting us may result in account suspension. We are committed to resolving payment disputes fairly and promptly.
8. Exceptions
We reserve the right to refuse a refund if we determine, at our sole discretion, that the refund policy is being abused (e.g. repeated sign-ups and cancellations to exploit the money-back guarantee). Refunds required by applicable consumer protection law will always be honoured regardless.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect.
